Veteran all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya and fast bowler Lasith Malinga have been dropped from the new-look Sri Lankan limited over squad for the tri-nations series.
Selectors have named uncapped batsman Lahiru Thirimanne for the competition, which gets underway in Bangladesh in January, while retaining all-rounder Thissara Perera, seam bowler Suranga Lakmal and spinner Suraj Randiv, who all made their international debuts on the recent tour of India.
Batsman Chamara Kapugedera and spin bowler Ajantha Mendis, who had an uninspiring series in India, have also been omitted.
