England international Joe Denly has extended his stay at the St Lawrence Ground until the end of the 2011 season and admits "my heart is with Kent". The 23-year-old is a product of the Kent youth system, having started at the club at the age of 13 - working his way through the ranks. Denly has impressed since being included in the England set-up, competing in nine ODI's and three Twenty20 internationals. The right-hand opener is delighted at signing an extension to his current deal and admitted there was no chance he was leaving. He added: "My heart is with Kent county cricket club, so I'm delighted to sign this new deal. "I love the club, the fans and the county so I could never say no to staying here."

Kent team director Paul Farbrace added: "We are all delighted that Joe has chosen to extend his deal for the next two seasons. He is a key part of what we are trying to do here." Acting chief executive officer Jamie Clifford is excited about Denly's prospects. He adds: "Joe is a cricketer with a bright future and I am delighted that he has chosen to continue his career here at Kent. "With most of our senior players now under long-term contracts, this is an exciting time to be a supporter of Kent cricket."
