Brad Haddin and Peter Siddle both return from injury for Australia's one-off Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka in Perth on Sunday.
Wicketkeeper Haddin has recovered from the elbow problem that has kept him out of the international arena since the World T20 final in May.
His comeback means there is no place for Tim Paine in Australia's 12-man party.
Paceman Siddle, who last featured for his country in February, is available again after a lengthy rehabilitation from a back injury.
"It's exciting to see the return of Peter Siddle and Brad Haddin into international cricket," chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said.
"Peter is a key bowler in all forms of the game and has made a return from injury and is now ready to take his place in the Australia Twenty20 squad.
"It is unfortunate for Tim Paine, having played so well for Australia recently, to miss out on this squad but Brad has made a very good recovery from his elbow injury and is an established member of our side in all forms of the game."
All-rounders Steve Smith, Stephen O'Keefe and John Hastings have all been included but there is no place for experienced performers Michael Hussey and Mitchell Johnson.
Hussey and Johnson are, however, available to play for their states in first-class cricket.
