Ashes: Australia lose James Faulkner for third Test against England
Australia all-rounder James Faulkner ruled out of the third Test in Perth with a fractured thumb.

Faulkner had been the 12th man for the emphatic wins at the Gabba and the Adelaide Oval, however he had been linked to a possible start in Perth.
With the WACA traditionally favouring pace bowlers, Faulkner was vying for a place in the line-up ahead of spinner Nathan Lyon.
Faulkner had also been mentioned as a possible replacement for Ryan Harris, who has an on-going knee issue.
However the 23-year-old all-rounder will now miss out completely after injuring his right thumb during Thursday's net session.
"James was struck on the right thumb while batting in the nets and was subsequently taken for an X-ray which revealed a fracture of the thumb," team doctor Peter Brukner said in a statement.
"His progress will be monitored for a return to playing duty depending on how quickly the injury heals."
Doug Bollinger and the uncapped Nathan Coulter-Nile were already on stand-by for the third Test and will now step up if required.
The third Ashes Test gets underway in the early hours of Friday morning. LIVE coverage starts from two o'clock only on Sky Sports 2.
