India captain MS Dhoni says the side are now fully focused on the cricket irrespective of what has happened off the pitch.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni admits India's only concern is the crucial fourth Test against England at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The skipper was speaking after the ICC decided not to appeal the decision to exonerate James Anderson of misconduct in his clash with Ravindra Jadeja.

An independent commissioner last week cleared Anderson of abusing and pushing all-rounder Jadeja during the first Test at Trent Bridge.

Although Dhoni admits it was good to have strong characters in the game, he insists now is the time to move on with the series nicely poised heading into the Manchester showdown.

"The good thing that came out was that Jadeja was fined and he didn't even have a one per cent mistake committed from his side, so that was a big thing for us," Dhoni told Sky Sports News.

"The other thing was the charge and once the judge cleared everything it all becomes about evidence.

"It's very interesting what they haven't really found out on the basis that Jadeja needed to be fined 50 per cent or 60 per cent of his match fee. It's important not to drag one thing into the other.

More from England V India, 4th Test

"Irrespective of what has happened or what will happen after even the last game we played, our only concern is to play cricket.

"It really teaches us how to concentrate on one thing especially when the game starts."
