Sky Sports' Nasser Hussain picks his favourite moments from the third Ashes Test

What were the top moments from England's third-Test victory over Australia at Edgbaston?

We asked Sky Sports' Nasser Hussain for his choices, which he goes through in the video above and which are explained in further detail below.

5) Bell back in nick

Ian Bell reserved special praise for the bowling as England beat Australia by eight wickets at Edgbaston

Ian Bell's place in the England line-up looked in jeopardy after the side's crushing defeat at Lord's - scores of one and 11 at HQ meant he had notched just 117 runs in six Tests at an average of 10.63 - but the Warwickshire man prospered in his move up to No 3 in the batting order. Bell posted half-centuries in both innings on his home ground, with the former steadying England after the early exit of Adam Lyth and the latter steering them to an eight-wicket triumph and 2-1 series lead.

4) Bumble and the raincoat lady

The rain has been a nuisance during the first day of the third Ashes Test and this poor fan struggled to get her rain jacket on as it poured down

Day one at Edgbaston was mildly disrupted by the weather but it wasn't just the players that were affected, with one fan in particular having great difficulty shielding herself from the rain. The lady's first issue was finding the head hole in her mac and when that problem was resolved, she then had the tricky task of getting the coat on over her hat. Bumble tried to offer some advice from the commentary box but we think it only made matters worse. It wasn’t half funny, though!

3) Cook’s bizarre dismissal

Watch Alastair Cook's bizarre dismissal during the first day of the third Ashes Test

Odd dismissals are part and parcel of cricket and England captain Alastair Cook fell to one in England’s first innings. Snared by a jumper, he was. Attempting to swat a Nathan Lyon delivery to the boundary, Cook watched on in disbelief as the ball flew into short-leg fielder Adam Voges’ midriff and unbelievably stuck! It’s not the first time clothing has claimed a wicket, though, with Russel Arnold’s shirt sleeve accounting for Marcus Trescothick in a Test in Colombo in 2001.

2) Bumble on the Ashes Events Centre

Watch as Bumble makes hard work of the Sky Sports Ashes Event Centre

The Sky Sports Ashes Events Centre for iPad – on which you can watch live coverage and session highlights, as well as check out player stats and pitch maps and share your Ashes views on social media - is a high-tech piece of kit, not that you’d know it by Bumble’s demonstration! The Sky Sports commentator got himself in a right pickle remembering his lines and what buttons to press – much to the amusement of Nass and Athers - but, take it from us, it’s a must-have gadget.

1) Finn the comeback kid

Image: Steven Finn: Finished with figures of 6-79 in the second innings at Edgbaston

Steve Finn was deemed “un-selectable” when England toured Australia couple of years ago – but he was quite unbelievable at Edgbaston on his return to the Test-match arena. The Middlesex seamer removed the in-form Steve Smith and Australia captain Michael Clarke within the space of nine balls on day one, before returning Test-best figures of 6-79 while dismantling the Baggy Greens second time around. England have one hell of a bowler in their midst.
