Dean Wilson of The Mirror and Lawrence Booth of the Daily Mail discuss the future of Nick Compton and who could replace him for the Pakistan series

Nick Compton's struggles, Jonny Bairstow's wicketkeeping and the likelihood of day-night Test cricket in England were debated by Paul Allott, Lawrence Booth and Dean Wilson on the latest episode of Cricket Writers on TV.

Paul and his gang were live at Lord's - tucked up inside, away from the drizzle - to mull over the hot cricketing topics and Compton, understandably, was top of the agenda.

The Middlesex man's dismissal for 19 on day three of the third Investec Test between England and Sri Lanka means he has mustered just 117 runs in his last 10 Test innings and is now seemingly set for the chop.

Booth (Daily Mail) and Wilson (Mirror) discussed Compton's travails as well why Scott Borthwick would be a natural replacement should England make a change ahead of the Tests against Pakistan later this summer.
