Yorkshire Vikings bowler Liam Plunkett believes the club's newly formed partnership with American football franchise Minnesota Vikings will boost cricket's popularity.
"The club rightfully belongs in Division One, huge club with a great following and obviously a fantastic stadium." The former England international is relishing working under ex-Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie at Yorkshire but expects his compatriots hold the advantage with eyes on this summer's Ashes series. "It is going to be a huge summer for cricket with New Zealand coming over and then the Ashes and the team looks in great shape." "Going to New Zealand was tough, they have some good cricketers and they are a good unit but England have a big squad and I would give them the edge over Australia."
