A career best 178 from Laurie Evans helped put Warwickshire on top after day two of their clash with Nottinghamshire.

Evans shared a seventh-wicket partnership of 199 with 21-year-old Ateeq Javid as the champions posted a first innings total of 463 all out.
Nottinghamshire then made the worst possible start when Steven Mullaney was leg-before to Chris Woakes' first ball, but there was a major let-off when Michael Lumb was missed at third slip by Jeetan Patel in the next over from Keith Barker.
The in-form left-hander went on to make an unbeaten 50, putting on an unbroken 84 with James Taylor (54 not out) before the visitors closed 332 behind at 131-2.
Taylor came in when Alex Hales, having made some progress in his rehabilitation after a spell out of the side, was lbw to off-spinner Patel for 17.
With Andre Adams feeling unwell, Nottinghamshire were a bowler down after lunch as Evans scored at a run-a-ball once he had cleared a major hurdle in reaching a maiden championship hundred from 260 deliveries.
The 25-year-old former Surrey batsman, who made his only other first-class century in 2007 when at Durham University, has been given the opportunity to finally nail down a first-team spot this season.
A little uncertain early in his innings, he finished a seven-hour marathon with a barrage of strokes.
When he was bowled by the persevering Samit Patel (3-123) he had hit 22 fours and three sixes, two of these coming in a solitary over from David Hussey.
Equally encouraging for Warwickshire is the development of Javid, a local discovery who followed up an innings of 85 against Surrey last month by making 83 from 240 balls in only his second championship appearance at Edgbaston.
When he was caught behind, driving at Ajmal Shahzad, the Nottinghamshire fielders were finally able to escape from the sweltering heat with Luke Fletcher taking the last two wickets in eight balls, although not before Barker had contributed 23.
