Paul Collingwood continued his rich vein of form as Durham Jets pipped Yorkshire Vikings by one run to claim their second NatWest T20 Blast win of the season.

Collingwood backed up his unbeaten 108 against Worcestershire Rapids on Sunday with an unbeaten 88 from 54 balls to steer his team to 157-3.

The 41-year-old then ran out Alex Lees (29) with a direct hit from mid-off as Yorkshire were limited to 156-7, skipper Paul Coughlin (3-34) and Barry McCarthy (3-33) sharing six wickets.

Yorkshire's Azeem Rafiq could only run a bye from the final ball as Durham moved onto zero points for the campaign, having suffered a four-point deduction following their financial bailout from the ECB.

Worcestershire Rapids remain second-bottom in the North Group but boosted their hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals with a five-run triumph against Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston.

John Hastings smashed a 19-ball fifty, the fastest in the Blast this term, and then conceded only 13 of the 19 runs Bears required from the final over - Aaron Thomason's last-ball maximum in vain.

Dom Sibley also impressed in defeat for Bears, the former Surrey man striking 49 on debut before falling to Mitchell Santner (3-16), after shipping just 20 runs from his four overs of leg-spin.

Derbyshire Falcons are still top, above Birmingham on net run rate, despite slipping to an eight-run loss to Nottinghamshire Outlaws, for whom Tom Moores (57 off 34) impressed with the bat.

Luis Reece hit 53 in Derbyshire's pursuit of 190 but when he was ousted by Dan Christian (2-17) Falcons lost momentum, Jake Ball ending with three wickets, including key man Wayne Madsen (31).

Lancashire Lightning beat Leicestershire Foxes by four runs at Grace Road - Jos Buttler striking 57 for Lancashire and Mark Cosgrove 77no in a losing cause for the hosts, who have now gone six games without a win following four consecutive victories to kick off the campaign.

Tom Curran's 51 not out from 27 balls with the bat and 2-25 with the ball were in vain for Surrey, meanwhile, as The Oval side lost at home to South Group leaders Glamorgan by six runs.

Curran pegged back Glamorgan after Aneurin Donald's career-best 76 off 40 balls had powered the Welsh county to 128-1 in the 13th over, the visitors eventually posting 181-6.

The 22-year-old then smashed three fours and as many maximums after Surrey had stumbled to 132-7 in the 17th over, but could not muster the nine runs required from the final four balls, Michael Hogan holding his nerve having been cracked for a six from the second ball of the 20th over.

Gloucestershire and Sussex Sharks also picked up wins; the former coasting past Somerset's 146 all out with 10 balls in the bank and the latter trumping Kent's Sam Billings-inspired 163-9 - the England man scoring 74 from 40 balls - with an over to spare, thanks to Chris Nash (73no off 58).

Plus, bottom side Essex defeated Hampshire by four wickets, Eagles opener Adam Wheater cracking a 25-ball fifty against his former team after George Bailey (89no) had lifted the hosts to an ultimately inferior 168-6.
