Lancashire have been dealt a blow with the news that seamer Kyle Jarvis will miss the rest of the season with a broken hand.
Jarvis is the joint leading wicket-taker in LV= County Championship Division Two this season, along with Derbyshire's Mark Footitt, with both having claimed 62 victims in 13 games.
The former Zimbabwe international suffered the injury during fielding practice before NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston, where the Lightning will take on Hampshire in a repeat of last year's semi-final.
As well as Finals Day, Jarvis will miss the last three four-day games of the season, although his absence should not stop Lancashire reclaiming their place in Division One.
They top the table with 226 points, 10 clear of Surrey and 68 ahead of third-placed Glamorgan - the top two teams are promoted at the end of the season.
Jarvis said on Twitter: "Gutted to end my season with a broken hand just days before @NatWestT20Blast final. But am sure Lancs will bring trophy home.
"Thank you to everyone for the support this year. Been a great year and still in the hunt for two trophies."
