Worcestershire's highly-rated batsman Tom Fell has signed a new three-year contract.

The 21-year-old is the county's leading run-scorer in the LV= County Championship with 802, including two centuries and three fifties, at an average of 34.86.

Fell is the fifth player in recent weeks to commit his future to the county with Joe Clarke, Ed Barnard, Joe Leach and Ross Whiteley all opting to extend their stays at New Road.

Fell said: "I think it's great that so many young guys have signed new contracts and good for the future of the club and I think everyone is really excited at the moment.

"I was always going to sign to be honest but it helps knowing that so many people you are close with, have played with for a few years and are good cricketers, are going to be here as well.
