Prolific seamer to remain at Trent Bridge through 2014

Nottinghamshire have extended the contract to seamer Andre Adams until the end of the 2014 season. The former New Zealand international has taken 54 wickets in the LV=County Championship this season, putting him on course to finish top of the rankings for a third year in succession. The 37-year-old, who last played for the Black Caps in 2007, was previously contracted up to the end of next season. "Andre has been our best bowler for some time now and his performances this season more than merit an additional year on his deal," said director of cricket Mick Newell. "We will preserve him for four-day matches because that's where he's at his best."
