Kent and Leicestershire secure day three wins in Division Two

Five second-innings wickets for Morne Morkel helped Surrey take control of their County Championship clash with Yorkshire at Scarborough.
The former South Africa fast bowler finished with 5-39 from 16 overs as Yorkshire were bowled out for 152 in their second innings, setting the visitors a victory target of 228.
Surrey made a strong start to that chase, closing day three on 89-0 - captain Rory Burns 55 not out and Mark Stoneman unbeaten on 32, his highest score of 2018.
Earlier, the Surrey fightback started with the bat as Morkel (29) contributed to an eighth-wicket stand of 56 with Ollie Pope (69no) as they moved from 219-7 overnight to 269 all out in reply to Yorkshire's first-innings 342.

Set an improbable target of 462 from a minimum of 113 overs, the Pears reached the close of the third day unscathed on 43-0.
The home side gained control after Jake Libby had fluently progressed to the fifth century of his career, with Notts declaring on 249-4 in their second innings.

Hildreth, who went on to be the stubborn mainstay of the Somerset innings with a 148-ball 78, received a life on 16 - dropped by Tom Westley - which would have left Somerset 159-4, still 209 runs short of the 368 required to make Essex bat again.
In the end they reached that target with two wickets in hand, and went on to finish within 110 runs of Essex's first-innings 517-5 declared when bowled out for 407.
That it was Somerset's day was confirmed when they claimed two Essex wickets in the last nine overs of the day under the floodlights to leave Essex teetering on 17-2 at the close.

Having resumed 22-2 in their second innings, Middlesex lost their last eight wickets for 102 runs inside the morning session as their former player Harry Podmore took a career-best 6-36.
England's Dawid Malan was one of Podmore's victims, out for a two-ball duck, fencing one angled across through to the wicketkeeper.

Abbass took 6-54, including the wicket of Matt Critchley - who was last to go for 86 from 124 balls - as Derbyshire were bowled out for 184.
That left Leicestershire with a modest target of 133 and 58 from Colin Ackermann, backed up by 48 from skipper Paul Horton helped clinch a comfortable win.

A sparkling ton from Ben Duckett (133) plus half-centuries from Luke Procter (70), Ricardo Vasconcelos (79) and Steven Crook (73) helped Northants declare their second innings on 406-9, setting Glamorgan 434 to win.
In reply, Glamorgan's top four all made starts only to then perish as they closed on 121-4.
