Somerset fast bowler Alfonso Thomas has been hit with three penalty points under the England and Wales Cricket Board's disciplinary code.
Thomas, 37, was reported by umpires Rob Bailey and Peter Hartley during this week’s Division One match against Lancashire for throwing a ball "at or near" an opponent.
The points remain on Thomas' record for two years, with the accumulation of nine points bringing an automatic suspension.
Leicestershire fast bowler Nathan Buck has been reprimanded under the code – he had to be removed from the attack in the NatWest T20 Blast match against Yorkshire on Tuesday for bowling an accidental beamer.
