Opening batsman Angus Robson has signed a new one-year contract with Leicestershire.
Robson, 22, the younger brother England opener Sam, has enjoyed a steady first season in county cricket.
He has scored 764 runs at an average of 36, including eight half-centuries and a ton against India in a tour match.
Director of Cricket Phil Whitticase said: “We are really pleased that Angus has extended his contract with us. He earned the right to be in the LV=County Championship side at the start of the season and has gone from strength to strength since then.
“Angus’s performances have also led to him being selected to open the batting in the Royal London One-Day Cup. He deserved that opportunity after showing such good form in the Championship.
“We are now looking for Angus to keep his excellent season going and look forward to him continuing his development with us.”
