Australia's Test series in South Africa in March rocked cricket to its core.

David Warner and Quinton de Kock become embroiled in a heated off-field confrontation in the first Test in Durban, while Kagiso Rabada and Steve Smith then collided in the second in Durban after the latter was dismissed.

But those incidents were swiftly overshadowed by the ball-tampering scandal during the third fixture in Cape Town.

Australia captain Smith, his deputy David Warner and opening batsman Cameron Bancroft were hit with bans - Smith and Warner for a year, Bancroft for nine months - for their roles in a plot to alter the condition of the ball using a piece of sandpaper.

In Crossing the Line, which you can watch on Sky Sports Cricket at 10pm, Thursday, you will see how the deeply-personal and highly-controversial four-match series unfolded and how tempers flared on and off the pitch.
