Lions can solve bowling woes, says Essex all-rounder
Graham Napier thinks that certain England Lions players could reinvigorate the senior side's bowling attack.
England struggled for wickets in the recent 1-0 Test series defeat to the West Indies, but the Essex all-rounder believes their problems can be solved by calling-up a player or two from the second-string national team.
Former Test player Sajid Mahmood and Durham seamer Mark Davies were singled out for praise.
"I'd look at Sajid Mahmood, who has been very impressive," Napier said.
"Then you have Mark Davies, who bowls a good game and a very disciplined line. I think those two work well together and have a good partnership.

"Any player on this team is picked as a potential future England player, so that is what everyone is working towards."
Napier himself has impressed with both bat and ball on the Lions' current tour of New Zealand. The 29-year-old hit 77 runs from 41 balls as well as returning bowling figures of three for 74 in their limited-overs defeat to New Zealand A on Saturday.
The prospect of a promotion to the senior squad hasn't been raised by Napier yet as he prefers to concentrate on his performances for the Lions.
"I was pleased with the way I started with the new ball, because that's really the main thing that I want do while I'm with the Lions," he added.

"I haven't really spoken to anyone about (what I need to do to make the England team). But I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and I feel like I'm finding some form at the right time."
Despite Napier not being selected in the England national team, the big-hitter was one of only five players from the country to secure a contract for the next edition of the IPL.
"After the tour finishes, I'll have a week back at home and then make preparations to head to India for the IPL," he said.
"But for now I'm just concentrating on what we have to do here in New Zealand with the Lions."
