A long and memorable era ended in Australia in April when it was announced that Channel Nine had lost the rights to broadcast Test matches from Down Under for the first time in 40 years.
The TV network turned into a sporting institution as it showed Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket and became the home of Australian Tests, with its cult clan of commentators, including Richie Benaud, revered.
Sky Sports Cricket's Charles Colvile looks into the archives and chats to some of the men that made it happen, including producer David Hill and Bill Lawry, who formed a much-loved commentary duo with the late Tony Greig.
Watch the show in the video at the top of the page as we reminisce on the era of Lawry, Greig, Benaud and Ian Chappell, with Lawry's love of pigeons and Greig's pitch reports and Weather Wall fondly remembered.
We also hear from Australian satirist and impressionist Billy Birmingham, who made the Channel Nine commentators and their idiosyncrasies stars of his popular Twelfth Man tapes.
