Australia will look to their experienced players to get them back to winning ways in Sri Lanka.
Tourists look for better fortune in one-day series
Australia will look to experienced players Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting as they bid to put a Twenty20 series to Sri Lanka behind them in five one-day internationals.
Australia open the one-day series in Pallekele on Wednesday, still reeling from a 2-0 T20 series defeat which was completed with an eight-run loss to Sri Lanka in Kandy.
Ajantha Mendis made history with world record figures of 6-16 and Australia's Twenty20 captain Cameron White has warned the one-day players to be prepared for a spin onslaught.
But White, returning to Australia following the 20-over games, believes Australia will look to the experience of captain Clarke and former skipper Ponting for the ODI series and the following three Test matches.

White said: "It was pretty obvious that once there were a couple of new batters (in the T20 game), it was quite hard work.
"It's going to be no different during the one-day series. It'll be hard and tough work for the batsmen against the spinners.
"Everyone knows that, it's no secret and it's just going to be about who can come out on top at the end of the series."
But White predicted experience would be vital for Australia's chances.
"A couple of senior players coming back into the side, Michael and Ricky, have seen a lot of Mendis so they will have, straight from the start, a bit more experience there and I think just the more you get to face guys like that, who you haven't seen as much, it becomes easier.
"He's a different bowler but, as I said, the more you get to see of guys like that, the easier they become to face.

"Clearly, six wickets in a Twenty20 game for under 20 runs is an unbelievable effort."
Mendis' reward for his role in the T20 win over Australia is a place in the ODI squad. He is joined by opener Upul Tharanga and pace bowlers Lasith Malinga and Shaminda Eranga.
Tharanga was banned after testing positive for a banned substance during the World Cup. The suspension ran out on Tuesday and he was immediately drafted back into the squad.
Malinga missed the T20 games because of a back injury but has proved his fitness for the ODIs.
Chamara Kapugedera and Chamara Silva also return to the squad to provide further options in the middle order.
A 4-1 win or better for Sri Lanka would see them replace Australia at the top of the International Cricket Council one-day rankings.
