Skipper to sit out Sri Lanka clash due to hamstring injury

Australia captain Michael Clarke has been ruled out of his side's next Commonwealth Bank Series one-day international against Sri Lanka in Sydney on Friday after suffering a hamstring injury against India. Clarke suffered a low grade right hamstring strain in the four-wicket defeat by India in Adelaide on Sunday. Australia team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said: "He had scans today (Monday) that confirmed the low grade nature of the injury. "He will not recover in time to play in Australia's next Commonwealth Bank Series game on Friday but I will assess him later this week and decide on his availability for the game in Brisbane on Sunday 19 February against India." The Australia squad for the Sri Lanka game is due to be named on Tuesday.
