The seamer was unable to take the field in Australia's second innings in the third Test at the WACA after being injured whilst batting on the third day.
Broad was struck on the right boot when he was dismissed by a full delivery from Mitchell Johnson for five during England's first innings total of 251.
He had x-rays and an MRI scan in hospital in Perth and, after the results were reviewed back in England, it was announced he would be able to bat if necessary in the rest of the match.
An ECB statement, via its official Twitter account, read: "Scans revealed no evidence of a fracture.
"He will continue to receive treatment on his right foot and will be reviewed on a regular basis ahead of the fourth Test.
"He will bat in this current Test if required."
