Ben Stokes and Liam Plunkett warmed up for England's ODIs against Ireland by taking part in a legends rugby match

England get their summer of cricket underway with two one-day internationals against Ireland in May, and preparations have already begun.

However, it was not the usual net sessions and gym work for Ben Stokes and Liam Plunkett as they swapped the bat and pads for a different shaped ball and a kicking tee.

The England pair were over in Dublin on St Patrick's Day for an Ireland versus England legends rugby match - with a twist!

While Stokes and Plunkett were not thrown into the heat of the battle, they were tasked with kicking the England conversions after a try.

The duo were put through their paces during the afternoon and after a rather unconvincing start, both were primed and ready for action by the time kick-off came around.
