Fit-again paceman Gul included in both squads

Younus Khan is a surprise omission from Pakistan's Test and one-day squads for the upcoming tour to England. Batsman Younus is now eligible for international cricket again after having an indefinite ban for ill-discipline during the tour to Australia overturned. However Pakistan selectors have opted not to pick the 32-year-old, who has appeared in 63 Tests and 202 ODIs for his country. Instead there is a Test recall for Yasir Hameed, who has not played since late 2007, as well as places for untried duo Umar Amin and Azhar Ali.

Gul returns

Umar Gul is named in both squads after recovering from a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbean. Shoaib Akhtar, who is currently playing in the Asia Cup after 14 months out of the national scene, is picked for the one-day party. There are three uncapped players chosen for the Tests - seam duo Wahab Riaz and Tanvir Ahmed and reserve wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider. Pakistan play two Tests and two Twenty20 games against Australia on English soil. They then take on England in a four-Test series before two T20 contests and five one-dayers complete their lengthy schedule in September. Test squad to play Australia and England:
Salman Butt, Imran Farhat, Yasir Hameed, Umar Amin, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Zulqarnain Haider, Muhammad Asif, Umar Gul, Muhammad Aamer, Wahab Riaz, Tanvir Ahmed, Danish Kaneria, Saeed Ajmal. One-day and Twenty20 squad:
Salman Butt, Shahzaib Hasan, Umar Amin, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Abdul Razzaq, Muhammad Aamir, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar, Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Rehman, Fawad Alam.
