All-rounder sets sights on upcoming ODI series Down Under

India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is confident he will be fit for the one-day tri-series in Australia after overcoming a non-malignant lung tumour. The 30-year-old was named the player of the tournament after India's triumphant 2011 World Cup campaign but then underwent tests after repeated bouts of sickness. They revealed a tumour which forced him to miss the ODI series against the West Indies and led to a period of rest before he battled his way back. And after training at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, Yuvraj is confident he can return to face Australia and Sri Lanka next month.

He told The Times of India newspaper: "I am fit and raring to go. "I have completely recovered and have been training for the last two weeks. "There is absolutely no problem with my fitness. I am able to run hard and my lung capacity is back. "The trainers and the support staff at the NCA have been working hard on my fitness. In a week, I will be completely ready." Yuvraj will be a welcome addition to the India squad, who fell 2-0 behind in the Test series after losing to Australia by an innings and 68 runs in Sydney on Friday.
