India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is targeting improved batting after his side were bowled out cheaply in both innings in Manchester.
The tourists lost by an innings and 54 runs at Old Trafford to fall 2-1 behind in the five match series heading into the decider at The Oval next week.
Dhoni won the toss but saw his side slump to 8-4 before reaching 152 in their first innings, while in their second innings the tourists lost nine wickets in a session as England stormed to the win.

"We were not really up to the mark, especially in the batting department," said Dhoni, who top-scored with 71 in the first innings - one of only three players to reach double figures.
"That's where we have to improve ahead of the next Test.
"Our batting has not really clicked. I feel it's very important to get going ourselves and the batting department will have to improve.
"Most of the wickets were quite good for batting and we'll have to apply ourselves a bit more."
