Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath has been omitted from Sri Lanka's squad for the four-nation Asia Cup tournament in Bangladesh.
Herath, who is currently playing in the triangular one-day series in Australia, has been replaced by leg-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna.
Sri Lanka's selectors named their squad on Saturday for the 50-over tournament against India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Mahela Jayawardene leads the 14-man party and all-rounder Angelo Mathews has been named his deputy in the one-day competition at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka between March 11 and 22.
Suranga Lakmal, who played his last one-dayer against Pakistan in November, has been recalled to the squad after he was declared fit for action.
But Lakmal's fellow seamers Dhammika Prasad and Chanaka Welegedara, who are currently in Australia, have both been left out.
Sri Lanka meet defending champions India in their opening match on March 13 but first they will face Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane on Sunday for the first of best-of-three finals.
World Cup winners India, the third team, were knocked out of the competition following Sri Lanka's victory over Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.
