Pathan stars in comfortable run chase

Irfan Pathan's fine unbeaten 42 helped Delhi Daredevils chase down a target of 97 and secure an eight-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Morne Morkel took 3-18 from his three overs as the Daredevils made easy work of the hosts' battling line-up, with openers Brendon McCullum and Jacques Kallis departing for four and 16 respectively. Only Dababrata Das, who was run out on 18, and the top-scoring Laxmi Shukla who hit 27 showed much resistance, but Australian Brett Lee was the last Knight Rider to fall in the 12th over. Delhi made a sturdy response, reaching 49-0 before Aaron Finch fell to Kallis on 30, but Pathan's 42 off 20 balls steadied the visitors' nerves and they coasted home with five balls to spare.
