Unfortunately for the West Indies a knee injury has prevented the 26-year-old from showcasing his skills in the 2014 ICC World T20, which is currently taking place in Bangladesh.
But fortunately for Sky Sports, the Trinidadian entered our studio on Sunday to give his assessment of the teams battling it out for glory in a tournament he and his West Indies team-mates won in 2012.
However, Pollard also took to the wicket in our ICC World T20 Zone to give some technical analysis - and he focussed on how to bludgeon the ball.
