Sir Dave Brailsford described Chris Froome's victory in the 2015 Tour de France as the best of Team Sky's three triumphs at the race so far.
Froome safely negotiated a weather-affected 21st stage into Paris to seal a 1min 12sec win over runner-up Nairo Quintana on Sunday.
Sir Bradley Wiggins handed Team Sky their first yellow jersey in 2012 and Froome made it two in a row in 2013, but team principal Brailsford was most proud of this year's performance.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "I think tactically, and from a team perspective, it is the best Tour we have ridden.
"The guys didn't put a foot wrong, and then, of course, Chris finished it off, so it's very satisfying from that point of view.
"I have been doing this for 15-16 years now and we have won a lot of Olympic medals [while British Cycling performance director], and we have used the same methodology to create Team Sky, and the same methodology has worked again."
Despite his victory, Froome's Tour has been partially marred by accusations of doping and physical abuse from fans.
Brailsford released Froome's power data during the race in an attempt to convince sceptics he is riding clean and reiterated the stance in Paris.
He added: "You can believe in us. We are a clean team, we ride clean, Chris is a clean rider and everybody can have 100 per cent faith in what we are doing."
