Olympic silver medallist and Tour de France cyclist Mark Cavendish chats to Helen and Fenners on the Soccer AM sofa

Fresh from winning omnium silver at the Olympic Games, Mark Cavendish spent his Saturday morning on the Soccer AM sofa.

The Manxman claimed the first Olympic medal of his career by finishing second to Italy's Elia Viviani in the six-race event in Rio.

It came after he won four stages of last month's Tour de France, which took his career total to 30.

Cavendish sat down with John Fendley and Helen Chamberlain to chat about his chances of racing at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and whether or not he is targeting the all-time Tour record of 34 stage wins.

He said he likes the idea of one more Games but suggested he would have to retire from road racing to make it happen.

Cavendish also explained where he keeps the various jerseys he has won during his cycling career, and reveals which one means the most to him.

Cavendish will now look to round of his season by winning the world road race title for the second time in October.
