Week eight of the Premier League sees another tough challenge for Adrian Lewis as he plays Mark Webster in the final match of the night.
Jackpot had to overcome a massive challenge in his tricky week six match against Gary Anderson in Glasgow, where made the headlines for the wrong reasons. Lewis faces another big obstacle in the sold out CIA arena in Cardiff on Thursday where another raucous crowd is expected.
The world champion is 4/6 with Sky Bet to beat the Welshman, while 'Webby' is available at 9/4 and the tie is available at 4/1. Webster will be well backed by the Cardiff crowd so the 11/10 available on him to win or draw in the 'Two Chances to Win' market looks like the best bet of the match.
Lewis has won three out of his seven matches and was involved in the first draw of the 2011 Premier League last week when Terry Jenkins fought back superbly to claim a point in a tense match. Webster has won only two of his seven matches, losing the other five but Sky Bet's darts betting expert Chris Spicer thinks that he can improve against Lewis.
He said: "Lewis dealt well with a crazy crowd in Glasgow two weeks ago but a tough trip to Cardiff may prove too much for the world champion.
"Webster will be desperate to impress the Cardiff fans and I think he can score heavily enough to keep up with Adrian Lewis at the beginning of the legs.
"He really needs to bounce back after three straight defeats and this looks like a great chance for him to do so. Webster averaged a phenomenal 110.19 in his 8-2 victory over Adrian Lewis in week four."
A range of Premier League specials are available for week eight, a nine-dart finish is 10/1 and 30 or more 180s is a 6/4 shot. There has only been one draw in 28 games so far, Sky Bet offer 4/5 that there are one or more drawn matches in the four matches.
James Wade is 5/2 with Sky Bet to beat Anderson in the opening match and The Flying Scotsman is 8/13, the tie is 4/1. Jenkins is 5/2 to beat Simon Whitlock in the second match in Cardiff, The Wizard of Oz is 8/13 and again the draw is 4/1. Sky Bet offer an enhanced 7/4 double for both Anderson and Whitlock to win their matches.
The penultimate match of the night sees Phil Taylor play Raymond van Barneveld, it will come as no surprise that Taylor is the red hot 4/11 favourite with Barney 4/1 for the win and the draw 9/2. Sky Bet offer an enhanced 6/1 that Taylor, Anderson, Whitlock and Lewis all with their respective matches in week eight.
