"I want to secure my place in the Play-Offs and I'm feeling positive"

World Champion Rob Cross is "feeling positive" ahead of his blockbuster Premier League clash with Michael van Gerwen in Birmingham on Thursday night.
Cross will be hoping to secure his place in the Play-Offs on Thursday as the tournament visits Arena Birmingham with Aberdeen to come next week before the big finale at London's O2 on May 17.
And the Hastings thrower, who currently sits third in the standings, knows he requires just one more point to seal his spot for the capital extravaganza.
Cross, who famously defeated Van Gerwen in their epic semi-final clash at the 2018 World Championship, is determined to get the job done against the world No 1 and also extend his unbeaten run to six matches.
"It's a massive challenge," Cross told the official PDC website. "I want to secure my place in the Play-Offs and I'm feeling positive. Every week's been a new experience for me and it's all still a learning curve.
"I couldn't have predicted how things went in the first couple of weeks but I've adapted since and it's been a great experience."
The 2018 Premier League is back for more action on Thursday as we head to Birmingham for Week 14. Coverage gets underway from 7pm on Sky Sports Action & Sky Sports Main Event. The tungsten action will then continue in Aberdeen through to the season's conclusion with the Play-Offs on May 17 at The O2 in London.
