I am a physical education/health teacher in Illinois. My passions are coaching and playing sports. I love the sport of dodgeball because it is a true test of an athlete's agility, strength, and hand-eye coordination.
I am excited to get a chance to play against a team from the UK because it gives us a chance to compete against the best players from another country. In the future I would like to see dodgeball grow into an Olympic sport in which many countries can participate in. This particular match will be different than the other professional games in that we get a chance to represent our country, and I'm in great anticipation of this opportunity.

I began playing in 2003 right after the movie Dodgeball came out when a local bar starting holding tournaments.
My specialty move is called the North African terradactyl leap. It comes out of nowhere and people are always surprised because they thought the move was only a myth. I currently work as a manager in a gym and love all kinds of physical activity. In my spare time I like to roll jiu jitsu and train Parkour. I also love long walks on the beach writing poetry during sunsets. My favourite movie is The Notebook. I am an adventurous guy who likes to live dangerously. Just the other day I practised spinning a dodgeball on one hand while driving my car and not wearing a seat belt. Then I decided to play a game of dodgeball without socks and risk getting a blister in order to make my feet tougher for June. But thats just how I roll.
When I first heard that a team from the U.K. would be coming over to play some dodgeball against us I was excited. I love playing dodgeball against anyone. I am also excited to see if they have developed any new or different techniques other than what we have seen or do over here in the U.S. I can't wait for June!!!

I have been playing dodgeball now for 5 years, I started playing dodgeball at a bar in San Diego called Incahoots. The guys I play against tell me that I'm the hardest thrower they have faced and they know better then to try to throw at me, because I'm just going to catch it. They also can't believe how fast I am off the line for how big a guy I am. For a day job I'm in the US Navy, have been now for 7 years, and when I get out I plan on becoming a San Diego police officer.
My anticipation for this dodgeball challenge is the way I see it, its like the Olympics, its USA vs UK for the gold. I'm really excited to meet guys from across the world who love the sport as much as I do.

Special Move: The "Flying Death Squeal" and the famously revered "Reverse Split Jump." Member of 2-time NDL National Champions "Triple A." I love playing for the intense competition and the rush of striking other people at high velocity with balls of fury.
I work as a facilities maintenance supervisor during the day, and playing intense games of Street Fighter IV at night. I love hitting up the gym and playing any kind of sport. When I heard of the UK coming to town to play, I got really pumped because it gives me a chance to defend my flag while playing dodgeball at the same time. I'm looking forward to showing another country the true talent that comes from southern California.

Special Move: The Backflip Dodge
Hailing originally from Vista, California, Chase started playing dodgeball at his home church, North Coast. In 2005, Chase made his dodgeball debut at the 2005 National Dodgeball World Championships. He became the NDL's second Last Man Standing in his first year of competition. The following year he helped to lead his team, Triple A, to the National Championship in the Amateur Division. Two years later they took down the championship in the "Big Ball Division." In late 2006 Chase moved out to Las Vegas to join a successful church launch from 2001. He left his team and family in San Diego, but you can still find the Golden Boy, from time to time, in the Golden State. On the pro tour, Chase is Co-Captain of the San Diego Crossfire and helped lead them to a league best 9-1 in the National Dodgeball League's first pro season. He is one of Dodgeball's most decorated, controversial, and most exciting athletes to ever step on court.
"This is an incredible opportunity for the sport of dodgeball and I feel blessed to be a part of it. One of the greatest challenges for our sport is exposure. There is nothing more exciting, than Dodgeball's best all on one court. The UK are sending their best and the Crossfire are the NDL's elite team, dodgeball history is being written, and this chapter will be exciting. This is a chance to put the National Dodgeball League and dodgeball on the sports map. It deserves to be there, and I plan on being a part of proving it. The people and future fans don't know what's coming, but they will like it... the UK team doesn't know what they're in for either, but I don't think they will like it as much. I can't wait to get on the court."

I love dodgeball because of the intensity of the game, and the love of competition. I have a couple of special moves, one is jumping in the air legs spread to dodge a ball, and the second one would be diving to the ground to catch a ball for an out. I started playing this game and developing a love for it at a bar four years ago as a joke, and then it became a serious sport to me. It seems I was really good at it.
The reaction I got out of the UK team was that it was awesome that they want to play us, and well, bring it on. And I hope the talent is equally matched. I can't wait to play them, and don't expect to lose, I can't wait for the match.
