What follows is a technical outline of the workings of our arsenal of dodgeball cannons:
- High Spec Mechanical Machines
- Capable of firing dodgeballs at speeds of 70km/ph
- Able to rotate +/- 30 degrees horizontally (on Y axis) and around -5 / +30 degrees vertically (on the Z axis)
- Machines reload automatically and are capable of firing approximately 1 ball per second.
- A slide system feeds balls automatically into the machine. Each slide can hold up to 20 balls.
- Machines are calibrated (via main Control room computer) to accurately follow the online user's aim (mouse movement).
- Calibration will take place everyday.
- There will be a server at the pitch that relays and interprets all info between the user's computer and the machine control electronics.
- Machine Control Electronics receive commands from the server and repositions the barrel to aim where the user is clicking.
- An externally hosted video server relays live video feed of the action to user computers.
