Simon 'Zimme' Nystedt was confident he was going to win as Roma Fnatic became the first team to be crowned the Gfinity Elite Series FIFA champions on Friday.
Zimme, 18, beat Team Envy's Philipp 'Eisvogel' Schermer on penalties in a nail-biting semi-final before taking down UNILAD'S Shaun 'Shellzz' Springette to help Fnatic bring home the trophy.
Despite nearly losing out a spot in the final and Shellzz managing to close the gap with two goals to Zimme's three, the Swede did not seem fazed by it.
He said: "When I made it to the final, I was sure I was going to win it all because I had that confidence after that tense semi-final.
"Some say penalties is a lottery but I've been really good with it his year. It's all a mind-game and I was a bit lucky before it went to penalties but in the last game I feel like I was better and I deserved to win.
"It feels great to win it with Fnatic and with Roma because they believe in me. The fact they're starting me makes me really happy and I feel like I've proved to them what I can do."
As if the evening was not entertaining enough, Zimme also fulfilled his Twitter promise by getting Ronaldo's haircut from the 2002 World Cup.
He said afterwards: "I hate it and I know my girlfriend probably won't be happy with it but I am a man of my words."
