Jacobs: Keeps on running
Cleveland have the worst offense in the NFL, the lowest number of touchdowns in the NFL, and they haven't beaten the Giants at home since 1973.
What more do you need to know?
The numbers don't lie but this is a case of them telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
They might be coming off a win, but it was against Cincinnati. Everyone's been beating up on the Bungles so far, so that's nothing to shout about.
I would love to tell you all to tune in for a close game, but I just don't see the Browns having a chance in this ball game.
They just got too many problems to solve - and the main one is, they're not good enough. And that, as problems go, is a major problem.
If they're looking for someone to blame in Cleveland then they need look no further than head coach Romeo Crennel and his staff.
They just haven't got that team together yet and don't forget, they went and spent a lot of money in the close-season.
They brought in personnel that were supposed to compliment the guys already there, but all it's done has taken the Browns from bad to worse.
And the big worry is they just aren't getting better. If you saw some signs of improvement from week to week, something encouraging it would be OK, but there is nothing going on with this football team right now.
You couldn't get a bigger contrast in one game either. Right now, the New York Giants are the most consistent team in the NFL - on both sides of the ball.
Offensively last week Brandon Jacobs had a big game, Domenik Hixon and Amani Toomer came good in the absence of Plaxico Buress but what impressed me most was the way their defense just shut Seattle down.
Their defensive numbers have been high for the entire season, so it's time to give them some love for what they are doing. Not that these Giants are getting much of that from anywhere still.
They are making sure Eli Manning and his offense are not put in bad situations and in turn, Eli and his boys are making sure that defense is not put in trouble. It's too early to talk about back-to-back wins, but that's the sort of thing that might just win you the Superbowl.
CADLE'S CALL: I think you all know the answer to this one... it's the Giants.
The New York Giants will have star running back Brandon Jacobs fit and raring to go against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Drew Brees has won the Associated Press offensive player of the year award.
Bruce Smith and Ron Woodson are among 17 finalists in the voting for the 2009 Hall of Fame induction class.
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson's groin injury makes him doubtful for the play-off match at Pittsburgh.
