It just forces teams to think about passing and that's where the Packers defense really takes off.

Quotes of the week
It's been an up and down season for the New Orleans Saints, but it's not Drew Brees and that offense, it's the defensive side of the ball. They are not getting consistency on that defensive side, it always seems that way.
The London performance was good but again it was the offense. I mean they scored 37 points, but they still gave up 32 and that's the thing, the consistency. You just don't know what side of the defense is going to show up but it's usually a bad one.
They seem to take turns in which one is going to be worst. They don't get enough pressure on the quarterback to take pressure off the defensive backs and then they give up a lot of big plays and that is the thing Green Bay does well - they turn short plays into long ones.
Their yards after catch might not be as explosive as it was last year but still they have got the receivers - Greg Jennings, Donald Driver - that can turn a short pass into a long gain.
Aaron Rodgers has done a very good job at quarterback for the Packers - he's been the most consistent thing they have had on offense. The running backs, the O-line, the receivers; he has been by far the most consistent one on the offensive side of the football.
Last week against Chicago was really a change for them on defense as well inserting A.J. Hawk in the middle of the linebackers. That might be a good move for them. They were so much better with him there in the middle and now he's had another week to get prepared and everything else.
They've always had the great defensive backs like Al Harris and Charles Woodson, but where they were always getting crashed was with teams running against them. Now not a whole lot of teams are going to try and run the football as much with Hawk in there leading that run defense. It just forces teams to think about passing and that's where the Packers defense really takes off.
CADLE'S CALL: It's gotta be Green Bay for me. Offensively these two match up pretty good but on defense the Packers are just far superior.
