Mercedes are to drop their Coanda-style exhaust in Brazil and re-think its design ahead of next season
Manufacturer admits that update needs a re-think

Nico Rosberg raced an old specification of the team's W03 chassis at last week's U.S. Grand Prix, which featured the original exhaust they had originally replaced in Singapore.
Having completed what was in effect a back-to-back test in Austin, Mercedes have now admitted that a complete re-think is required.
Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Vice-President Norbert Haug explained that the Coanda exhaust magnified a problem their car already had: that of overheating its rear tyres.
He also said the team had probably introduced the exhaust too late in the season to get it working properly. Even so, Haug added that they would work to refine it during the winter.
"We certainly, with hindsight, should have started much earlier with Coanda because it gives you a benefit - if you can manage it properly," he said at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Thursday,
"We so far cannot, because we were late introducing it in Singapore.
"Maybe in our case, we always suffered a little bit with rear tyre stuff: being too hot; probably not having enough downforce.
"In addition to that, Coanda has probably just accelerated these problems and so we did not handle that in the best possible way."
Haug admitted that there were no plans to use the Coanda exhaust this weekend.
He added: "We definitely start without. We want to do the tyre test without any influence and with proper data, which we can compare with what we have from the start of the year.
"We'll probably then leave it like that."
Mercedes have failed to score a point in the last five races. They currently stand fifth in the Constructors' Championship, 12 points ahead of Sauber.
