Neither Jules Bianchi nor Max Chilton had initially been scheduled to take part, even though race drivers are allowed to test the new tyres Pirelli are scheduled to introduce in time for the Hungarian GP.
However, Marussia altered its plans the day before the test with Chilton scheduled to run on Wednesday afternoon while Bianchi will do the same on Friday.
Ellinas earned his spot at the test by being the highest placed Marussia driver in GP3 last year. The Cypriot, who currently leads the series for Marussia Manor Racing, will be at the wheel of the MR02 on the opening morning of the test.
Gonzalez, who made his third practice appearance of the season in Germany, will then take over on the Thursday and the Friday morning.
Marussia test line-up:
Wednesday - Tio Ellinas (morning), Max Chilton (afternoon)
Thursday - Rodolfo Gonzalez
Friday - Rodolfo Gonzalez (morning), Jules Bianchi (afternoon).
