The Red Bull driver only needs to finish fifth or higher at the Buddh International Circuit to follow in the legendary footsteps of Fangio and Michael Schumacher by winning four World Championships in a row.
The Sky Sports F1 team will be building up to Vettel's history-making achievement throughout the weekend, with the German on the cusp of a feat guaranteed to grant his passage into the annals of sporting greatness.
But it's also a critical weekend for F1 and India as the sport prepares to return to the country for the last time until at least 2015.
So while Ted Kravitz will be replicating his behind-the-scenes tour of Mokpo by giving us the lowdown on Greater Noida on the outskirts of Delhi, a contingent of the Sky F1 team has already been busying themselves by joining up with the Force India team as they prepare for their home race. Look out for some exclusive interviews with the team's hierarchy, including boss Vijay Mallya, in which they discuss the future of motorsport in India, the 2013 season, and their disappointing run of form since the summer.
Meanwhile, Johnny Herbert will be sitting down with Sauber's Esteban Gutierrez to reflect on the Mexican's improved performances of late, culminating in his first points-scoring finish at last week's Japanese GP.
And of course, following Monday night's shock driver announcement, we'll have the latest on Toro Rosso's appointment of Daniil Kyvat, what it means for the sport and Toro Rosso to have another teenager on the grid, and what we can expect from the Russian youngster next year.
But best of all, after the very, very early starts of Korea and Japan, we're back to some more civilised start times this weekend with Sunday's race underway at the very reasonable time of 9.30am, with our race show on air from 8am.
So no excuses...and as always, don't miss it!
As always, don't miss it!
