McLaren's Jenson Button explains how an exact amount of sleep helps to keeps him in the right shape to drive at the highest level.

For many, a struggle to keep your weight down can be enough to cause a few sleepless nights.

But for F1 driver Jenson Button the opposite is true with the former world champion revealing he never sleeps more than eight hours to avoid putting on a few extra pounds.

Button is considered to be one of the fittest drivers in the sport. Relatively tall compared to his peers, Button's fitness regime even extends to regularly competing in triathlons while his love of cycling is an open secret.

However, what's less well known is that Button also regulates his sleep patterns to prevent weight gain.
