This game never ceases to amaze. The Villa fans were ready to boo off their players yet again after another timid display but Villa's subsitutes have combined to steal the points at the death.
Would you believe it?! The game was ambling to a draw until Gary Gardner fires in a shot that Schwarzer cannot hold, and Andreas Weimann is there to scramble the ball home from close range.
Fulham win a corner but the referee spots a foul on Collins in the six yard box, free kick to Villa.
Albrighton again cuts inside and lines up across, but (again) he over hits it and the ball sails out of play.
Fulham seem content to try and pass their way to a draw, Villa know they could really do with the win and are trying to make something happen.
Warnock puts in a great cross from the left but it goes just over the head of three advancing Villa players.
Interesting, Andreas Weimann is brought on to replace N'Zogbia before the free-kick taken - a decision booed by the Villa support.
N'Zogbia is brought down by Kelly just outside the area on the left, a great chance to put the ball in the box.
Off the bar!! A lovely patient move by Fulham results in Duff bursting into the area, but his shot on the bounce clips off the top of the bar.
Injury news for Fulham, Andy Johnson looks to be struggling. Is it a hamstring? Calf? Thigh? Not sure yet, but it looks like he is going to try and run it off.
Off the bar! Villa's best move in a while sees Hutton find space down the right, he lays it off to Albrighton, who sees his shot from the angle clip the crossbar and go over.
Meanwhile back on the pitch things have gone quiet again, with the home crowd getting more and more edgy.
Danny Murphy has trudged back onto the subs bench sporting a fairly epic looking black eye, he may have a bit on concussion too, leading to his removal at the break.
After this lunchtime's ghost goal at the Reebok, goal-line technology will be hotly debated this evening. We have our own contender here, Mark Schwarzer claiming a Stephen Ireland cross and just (from the naked eye) preventing it from going over the line.
That was close! Duff's cross is deflected off Cuellar and looks to be looping in, but Given does well to tip over.
Great play by Duff down the right, he gets to the byline and fires in a fantastic low cross, but no-one in a white shirt is there to tap it home.
@bell_stuartb adds: "Im anti McLeish but finding it hard to blame him for today - Albrighton is so wasteful its untrue."
This second period is following the same pattern as the first half, someone needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
Riise has the chance to float a decent free-kick in the box but he over cooks it and the ball goes out for a goal-kick.
Brian Cook says: "I do not understand how we can have at least TEN shots and not be in front. We always let teams off the hook. Is it going to happen again today. Mind you against Wigan we were better in the SECOND half."
Villa's chronic lack of goals all too evident after that 45 minutes. They have dominated proceedings, getting plenty of shots in on goal, but none of them have truly tested Mark Schwarzer. Fulham know they need to improve but they will be happy to still be level after a lacklustre first half from their point of view.
Murphy surprises everyone by passing the ball to Johnson in the area, but his low cross fizzes across the box and out for a goal-kick.
This could be a chance, Fulham free-kick just outside the Villa penalty area, plenty of players interested in taking this.
Carlos Cuellar is lucky to escape a booking after tugging back Dembele just as he was about to break away. That looked like a yellow card offence to me.
Finally a bit of possession for Fulham as Duff dribbles across the Villa box, he lays it off to Johnson but his cross is headed away by Collins.
Petrov goes down holding his right foot and needs some treatment. Replays suggest he was caught by the studs of Pavel Pogrebnyak. A painful one, but again accidental.
Ireland makes a nice run down the inside right channel but he over-hits his cross, N'Zogbia picks up the ball near the left touchline but his delivery into the box is poor and Fulham clear.
Half an hour gone and finally Fulham have a shot on goal. Andy Johnson cutting in from the left and firing in a low effort that Shay Given saves easily at his near post.
Danny Murphy has been caught by the flying elbow of Stephen Ireland, blood is now pouring from a cut underneath his eye. I think it was accidental though.
Villa take a free-kick quickly and catch Fulham sleeping, but Petrov's long range shot (again) is off target.
John Arne Riise eases Alan Hutton away from the ball by the corner flag, the Villa man thinks he has been fouled but the assistant says no.
Fulham are hanging on here, Villa boss Alex Mcleish will be desperate for his side to score while they are on top.
Great save by Schwarzer! Fulham gift away possession in a dangerous area, Agbonlahor breaks clear but his low shot is parried away by the Fulham keeper.
Petrov tries another shot from distance, but I think this one is even worse than the last one - the ball sailing way, way over.
Gabby Agbonlahor gets to the byline on the left and chips in a nice cross to Albrighton, but his header from the penalty spot loops into the arms of Schwarzer.
This has been an impressive start by Villa and the supporters are responding by getting behind their side.
Philippe Senderos the ball out but only as far as Stiliyan Petrov, who tries an ambitious volley from distance that bounces into the gloves of Mark Schwarzer.
It's all Villa in the opening exchanges, Mac Albrighton puts in a decent ball from the right that Hangeland puts out for a corner.
Charles N'Zogbia takes an early Villa corner short, but his eventual cross is poor and Fulham clear.
Jake is the first to email in, he says: "3-1 fulham the Pog, Dempsey and Duff all to strike. Fulham top 6? just maybe.."
Here come the two teams onto the field - can Villa get back to winning ways at home? Or will the Cottagers keep up the momentum following that thumping of Wolves last week?
Don't forget you can have your say on the game and your team's performance so far this season - Villa fans, what are your thoughts on Alex McLeish? Fulham fans, just how good is goal-machine Pavel Pogrebnyak?? Have your say via email Tom.Mallows@bskyb.com or via Twitter @Tom_Mallows
