Ajaccio's winless start to the Ligue 1 season continued as they were held to a goalless draw by Nice at the Stade Francois-Coty.
The hosts were unable to improve upon their impressive draw in Paris last week after failing to break down Claude Puel's team.
After losing to Limassol in midweek, the visitors had their chances to take all three points but had to settle for just the one in the end.
Nice thought they had opened the scoring inside 10 minutes when Christian Bruls converted an Eric Bautheac free-kick but Dario Cvitanich was penalised for offside.
Moments later Les Aiglons went close again when Valentin Eysseric and Bruls combined but the latter skied his effort from a promising position.
The visitors continued to dominate and Cvitanich went close when a misunderstanding between Ronald Zubar and Guillermo Ochoa allowed the Argentinian in but he failed to find the target.
The busy Bruls was involved again shortly before the break but the Belgian required treatment to a bloody eye after coming off worse in a challenge from Bautheac and, despite finishing the half on the sidelines, he returned following the interval.
Ajaccio came out much improved for the start of the second half and could have taken the lead early on but Adrian Mutu's dangerous cutback failed to find a team-mate.
The visitors did not take long to hit back though when Cvitanich fired wide again after Ochoa had parried Nampalys Mendy's stinging effort as Nice continued to press for an elusive winner.
The final chance of the match fell to Ajaccio's Mutu but the Romanian star headed a corner wide of David Ospina's post and both sides shared the spoils in Corsica.
