Accrington defender Janoi Donacien is suspended for the visit of Colchester.

The 23-year-old picked up his 10th booking of the season in the midweek draw at Mansfield and as a result will serve a two-match ban.

Portuguese winger Erico Sousa is in contention for a place in the squad after signing a short-term deal on Monday.

Billy Kee needed several stitches in a cut sustained at Mansfield and the injury will need to be assessed while fellow striker Terry Gornell is still sidelined by an ankle problem.

Colchester midfielder Sean Murray serves out a three-match ban, while striker Chris Porter will again be assessed on his hip problem.

Craig Slater (groin) and Owen Garvan (knee) are also carrying knocks.

Defenders Tom Eastman and Frankie Kent are out with ankle injuries, while Lloyd Doyley has a calf problem.
