Morgan back for Shots; Morrell targets Bury return

Striker Marvin Morgan should be fit for Saturday's FA Cup first round tie against Bury at the Recreation Ground. Morgan, 26, suffered a blow to his stomach in last week's goalless draw at Rotherham. However, scans have revealed his injury is not as bad as initially anticipated and he could be handed a starting role. Louie Soares, who has scored four goals in his last five games, looks to be a noticeable absentee having suffered an ankle injury which forced him out of training this week. Shots boss Jason Dodd, who will leave the club after Saturday's game, will also be without suspended defender Dave Winfield.

    Bury news

Bury boss Alan Knill has a number of injuries to contend with for the trip to Aldershot. Striker Andy Bishop continues his rehabilitation following a third operation in six months on a persistent groin injury. Midfielder Damien Allen has been struck with a virus following his surgery which could keep him sidelined for up to five weeks. David Worrall, Tom Elliott, and Danny Carlton remain sidelined, whilst Andy Morrell has returned to training and could figure on the bench. Efe Sodje limped off in the goalless draw at Burton Albion last week but should be in contention for a starting berth having returned to training this week.
