Romania boosted their hopes of reaching the World Cup qualifying play-offs after a 4-0 victory over Group D minnows Andorra.
Claudiu Keseru, Bogdan Stancu, Gabriel Torje and Costin Lazar were on target as Romania did enough to stay level on 16 points with Turkey - winners over Estonia on Friday - in the race to finish second behind group winners Holland.
Romania's final game is at home to Estonia on Tuesday, with Turkey facing the much harder assignment of playing host to a Dutch side bidding for their ninth win from 10 qualifiers and coming off the back of an 8-1 demolition of Hungary.
While the odds may slightly favour Romania in the fight to finish second, Victor Piturca's men will have to turn in a vastly improved performance than they could manage in the first 45 minutes against Andorra should they ultimately reach the play-offs.
With half-time approaching the visitors had managed just one shot on target through Stancu, but two minutes from the break they finally made the breakthrough when Stancu crossed from the right and Keseru nodded home.
The visitors were breathing a little easier after 54 minutes when Stancu made it two when he headed in Alexandru Maxim's cross, while it was three shortly after the hour mark when Vlad Chiriches was hauled down in the area and Torje slotted the resulting penalty into the bottom-left corner.
Romania wrapped up the scoring five minutes from full-time when Torje's free-kick from the right wing was met by Lazar with a firm downward header into the corner.
