What a thrilling game! Chelsea have done the unthinkable to cap off a truly incredible season. I hope you enjoyed the coverage this evening, it has been a pleasure.
Chelsea have done it! They are European champions for the first time in their history. Drogba is undoubtedly the hero, having scored the equaliser with just minutes remaining to send the game to extra-time and then hitting home the winning penalty. Roman Abramovich has finally got what he cherishes so desperately and the word is that he has planned a big party in Munich for his team.
GOAL - Luiz hits a super penalty into the top right corner leaving Neuer with no chance. 2-1 Bayern now.
Who will keep their nerve to claim this year's Champions League trophy? It is time to stand up and be counted for the chosen Chelsea and Bayern players.
Torres tries to play the ball past Contento, but makes a blatant foul as he becomes second favourite for the ball. He is shown a yellow card.
Not long to go, will there be a late winner or will the 2012 Champions League Final be determined on penalties.
Mikel fouls Schweinsteiger. This is a good opportunity for Bayern to create something from this free-kick.
No joy from the corner again for Bayern, who have had more than enough opportunities to put this game to bed in almost two hours.
Conteno makes a good sliding challenge on Drogba, who was threatening on the edge of the box. Schweinsteiger does brilliantly to keep the ball in play and Bayern counter. Gomez battles with Cech to try and divert the ball goalward but it travlels wide, although Bayern get a corner through Luiz' clearance.
Bayern look to have taken control of this second period of extra-time, with Chelsea having to do a lot of defending.
Lahm bursts forward on the left and chips a lovely ball to the far post for the unmarked Olic to finish, but the substitute hits it just wide. Great chance to score.
Robben cuts inside from the right wing, but his attempt to thread a ball into the box is cut out by Lampard.
Contento holds the ball up well on the left wing and is fouled by Lampard. The free-kick comes to nothing for Bayern however and the referee calls an end to the first half of extra-time.
Torres does well to fool his marker on the right after recieving the deep free-kick. His cross is a dangerous one to the far post but Neuer is able to reach it.
Torres shows great enthusiasm as he runs at the Bayern defence, but he takes a heavy touch and the ball runs for a goal kick.
Another Bayern corner goes to waste as Chelsea get it clear. They have failed to make any of their corners count, whereas Chelsea have had just one corner, and we know what happened there.
Ribery is still feeling the tackle from Drogba that led to the penalty, and he is being replaced by Olic.
Cech has saved Robben's penalty! Robben hits his penalty poorly, Cech fumbles the ball and smothers it in his arms at the second attempt.
Drogba may have just made a costly mistake as he stupidly trips of Ribery from behind in the box. He earns a yellow card. Will he turn from hero to villain in a matter of minutes?
Torres breaks forward with pace, he falls theatrically to the floor as he reaches the box, but is soon on his feet when he realises he can still collect the loose ball. Chelsea work the ball back to Mata to have a shot but it is blocked. Replays show Boateng's challenge on Torres was quite clumsy.
Drogba's free-kick flies over the bar and the referee calls an end to the 90 minutes. Extra time coming up.
Ribery fouls Mata on the edge of the Bayern box and the last chance of the 90 minutes will fall to a Chelsea free-kick.
Drogba loses his marker at the front post to meet Mata's corner with an incredibly powerful header which Neuer can only help into his net. Fantastic late drama at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern have finally taken the lead. Robben's cross from the left edge of the area is hit with perfection as Muller ghosts in at the far post to head past Cech. Cole has defended brilliantly tonight but that should have been his man and he lost him.
Another chance goes begging for Bayern. Ribery's skill gets him into the box. He is soon crowded out but manages to hit the ball across the box. Muller collects the loose ball and tries a reverse shot but it is a poor effort and it goes wide.
Cech is forced to tip a wide cross over the bar. Robben's corner is poor and is headed away by Lampard.
Bayern counter with pace and purpose but it is Cahill who makes vital challenge to deny a goalscoring opportunity.
Chelsea come forward for a rare attack. A string of nice passes results in Bosingwa crossing from the right. Kalou is the target but he can't win the header. The ball comes back to Bosingwa who crosses again but Neuer claims this time.
This corner is cleared by Luiz this time, but it is only a matter of time before Bayern are back on the attack.
Cole slides in well deny Muller crossing from the right. Bertrand deals well with the corner at the far post for another corner.
Bayern have done everything they can but score. The only thing that has let them down is poor finishing.
Robben's corner is pushed away by Cech and Luiz makes a vital challenge to deny a shot coming back at the goalkeeper.
Lahm recieves the ball on the edge of the Chelsea box. He tries to turn but is crowded out by blue shirts and Chelsea can clear.
Ribery is causing plenty of problems for Chelsea, this time cutting inside to have shot, but it travels wide.
Schweinsteiger is left with plenty of space on the right after playing a nice one-two, but his cross is caught by Cech.
Muller's cross from the right hits Cole and goes out for a corner. Drogba defends the cross well to head behind for another corner.
Robben goes close as he recieves a nice little pass from Gomez to shoot at goal, but Cole is the heroic defender for Chelsea as gets the block in.
A lovely touch by Bertrand sets up Cole for a cross from the left, but Bayern are awarded a free-kick for an unfair challenge in the box.
Kroos has an attempt from far out and doesn't trouble the target. Bayern had enough bodies forward there to create a better chance than that, and Heynkes is rightly annoyed on the touchline.
Bayern finally have the ball in the net..but Ribery is offside as he taps home the loose ball following Cech's save from Robben's shot.
Gomez goes down in the Chelsea box under the challenge of Cole, but replays show the referee is correct not to award a penalty. Good tackle.
Drogba tries an audacious volley from 40 yards out. He connects well with power but Neuer is not troubled as he sees it wide.
Cole makes a vital challenge to prevent Robben going through on goal after a dangerous run on the right wing. Bayern still threaten though and Kroos' shot is headed behind by Luiz.
Cahill looks to be struggling a bit with a tight hamstring. Chelsea will be hoping that doesn't get worse for him.
Ribery makes a threatening run on the left. He tries to square it but Luiz gets a block in and it comes back off Gomez for a goal kick.
Not too much has changed on the betting front after the first half. Bayern are still clear favourites with Sky Bet (4/9) to lift the Champions League trophy, while Chelsea remain at 13/8 to win the contest. For the second half, Bayern are 10/11 to break through Chelsea's defence and win in 90 minutes, Chelsea are now 3/1 to win with the draw at 2/1. Chelsea might just come out the more encouraged of the two teams after the break, and I believe Drogba to net the first goal at 8/1 could be worth a punt. www.skybet.com is the place to go to make all your in-game betting.
Chelsea will no doubt be the happier of the two sides as they head for their half time team talks, after surviving a barrage of chances from Bayern. The hosts will wonder how they haven't found an opener, with Gomez in particular wasteful in front of goal so far. Chelsea, on the other hand, must feel their game plan is working and that they will have that one chance that could win them the trophy if they stay tight at their end.
Gomez has another brilliant chance to give Bayern the lead. The ball falls to him inside the Chelsea box and he creates the space to pick his spot but thrashes over. A very disappointing effort from the 'hitman'.
Chelsea now forward on the right wing. Bosingwa tries to play the ball through to Kalou in the box but he is challenged and Bayern come away with possession.
The corner is cleared, but Bayern come back with Schweinsteiger who goes for goal from distance. Gomez touches his strike en route to goal but he deflects it wide.
Gomez has a great chance to score after Ribery mishits his effort on goal. It falls to the striker perfectly to finish first time, but he takes a heavy touch and the ball is closed down for a corner.
Chelsea suddenly have some impetus going forward. A lovely flick back by Drogba leads to Kalou having a shot at goal from the right edge of the box. He hits the target with power, but Neuer is equal to it to save at his near post.
A nice turn by Ribery allows the space for Contento to run into and cross. Muller looks to score with a first time volley but fires wide. Fantastic chance there for Muller, he was unchallenged.
Contento releases Ribery on the left wing who cuts inside to have a shot with his right foot. He rather snatches at the opportunity and it goes wide.
Robben seizes on the loose ball to have a shot at goal but it was awkward for him to connect well and Cech makes a simple save.
Schweinsteiger and Contento have a misunderstanding and the German's pass to the defender goes out of play for a Chelsea throw.
Kroos makes a good run to recieve Robben's pass. On the right edge of the box, Kroos looks to cross but can't find a team-mate.
One way traffic at the moment and Bayern win another corner, which is headed clear again by the Chelsea defence.
Robben runs through Chelsea's defence and blasts his shot at goal but Cech reacts brilliantly to deny the former Chelsea man of a goal. Bayern have a corner which is headed clear.
Bayern play a short corner but the cross from the left wing is far too powerful and Chelsea can compose themselves.
A nervous moment for Chelsea in defence. Gomez turns well in the box but his touch is too hard. Lampard intercepts and passes across to Bosingwa, who mishits the ball and it goes out for another corner, although it could have gone anywhere.
Chelsea enjoy some good passing but are caught on the counter when they lose the ball. Ribery threatens on the left wing but Lampard is there to deny his cross from reaching the box.
Contento times his challenge to perfection to deny Bosingwa linking up with Drogba on the right wing.
Bayern counter quickly after Chelsea had come forward. Robben cuts inside from the right but his shot goes harmlessly over.
Kalou does well to shrug off his markers and find Drogba on the right wing. Drogba crosses but it is overhit and Bayern can regroup.
The corner is initially cleared but Bayern remain on the attack and Kroos goes for goal from outside the area but his shot goes wide of Cech's left post.
Schweinsteiger has the game's first effort on goal, but Cahill closes down quickly to block for a corner.
Ribery fails to get past Bosingwa on the left flank and he hits the ball out of play for a Chelsea goal kick.
Schweinsteiger is booked for a deliberate handball as Chelsea were looking to counter. He will have to be very careful from now on.
Rob in Dallas writes: "Going for a 2-0 Bayern win with Gomez and Robben to score..It should be a great game but I think Bayern will just be too strong.."
Jacob writes: "The talk of Chelsea not deserving to be in the final is rubbish. They beat Barcelona with 10 men, and no other English team would manage that. Unless you are a die hard Barcelona fan, nobody wants to watch them pass the ball around in their own end for 80 minutes then finally decide to score a goal or get a penalty kick. Chelsea can win this game, but Bayern is going to probably go for an early sucker punch. If Chelsea weathers that storm, then its still going to be a great match. Chelsea 2-1, extra time."
Tim from Saddleworth writes: "Olly, I was lucky enough to be at "that" Tevez game in Munich last year. Bayern are a slick, well-drilled machine, on and off the pitch, and it's their destiny to win it tonight. 2-1 to Bayern. But I reserve the right to be wrong!"
Josh from Milton Keynes writes: "Im hoping for epic finale to the champions league this season with a 4-3 victory to the Londoners who will grasp victory in stoppage time through an unlikely source. I reckon juan mata will play a major role in the fixture and drogba and gomez will be clinical at either ends of the pitch."
José in York writes: "It's been a crazy season for Chelsea. It wouldn't surprise me if they win with a late goal from Torres with Bertrand providing the assist."
Nathan and Luke from Sheffield write: "Being English, people would think that we want Chelsea to win, but we are backing and hoping for Bayern. The simple fact is over the two legs vs Barcelona Chelsea didn't deserve to progress but Bayern did when they played Madrid. Footballing teams deserve to win things and Chelsea are not a footballing team at all, anyone who watched the games against Barca would have saw that. Bayern 3-1 Chelsea is our prediction, they are just going to be too good on their own pitch."
Ryan Bertrand is pitched into the biggest game of his life tonight as the 22-year-old starts for Chelsea in their Champions League final clash with Bayern Munich. With four players suspended, manager Roberto Di Matteo overlooks Florent Malouda and Michael Essien and elects to play Bertrand on the left flank, in front of Ashley Cole. Defenders David Luiz and Gary Cahill are both declared fit and start as Chelsea look to win the competition for the first time, knowing victory would earn them a place in next season's competition at the expense of Tottenham, who finished fourth in the Premier League. Bayern have their own defensive worries and, with Holger Badstuber suspended, elect to rely on Anatoliy Tymoshchuk to repel Didier Drogba.
Graeme P writes: "Being English I hate to support a German team at best of times but in this case I feel I must. Robben to score the winner deflected off Lampard."
Glen writes: "watching the match in belfast prediction is a 2-1 win to munich with arjen robben scoring the winner, don't think gary cahill will be ready to jump into a champions league final with so little european experience he may be the fault of chelseas defence."
Timal writes: "I'm a fan of Chelsea & Man City. City won league & Chelsea will win this by again upset the odds. 3-1 Chelsea in full time. Drogba Brace & Torres one also one from Ribery."
Bayern: Neuer, Boateng, Lahm, Contento, Ribéry, Robben, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Tymoshchuk, Müller, Gomez. Subs: Butt, Van Buyten, Petersen, Olic, Rafinha, Usami, Pranjic.
Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Lampard, Mikel, Kalou, Mata, Bertrand, Drogba. Subs: Turnbull, Essien, Romeu, Torres, Malouda, Ferreira, Sturridge.
David writes: "The last team to knock Barcelona out of the CL were Inter Milan whodid so via a defensive strategy. Inter then went on to win the finalwith some great football. Chelsea are my tip to do the same tonight.2:1 to Chelsea after extra time with Lampard and Drogba scoring.Ribery for Bayern."
Kieran from Wigan writes: "Munich are clearly the favourites, but then again so were Barca! Di Matteo is a clever man and I can see him pulling a few tricks from up his sleeve to prove his is the right man for Chelsea! My prediction, 3-1 to Chelsea - 1-1 for most of the game and Chelsea score 2 late goals as Bayern try to put in everything they've got and are caught out on the counter attack!"
Gavin J writes: "Bayern Munich to win 3-1 with Gomez scoring two and Arjen Robben scoring a penalty. And drogba scoring a penalty....but getting booked for diving!"
Nathan from Stamford writes: "I am a liverpool fan but also english so i really hope chelsea can do it tonight. but i just think bayern will be too strong for them."
As we wait for confirmation on the teams, the rumours are unsuprisingly doing the rounds. With both teams forced to reshuffle due to suspensions, it will be interesting to hear your views on how the teams should line-up. Would Di Matteo be right or wrong to hand Bertrand a start in such a big occassion?
Daine from Dundee writes: "Since I am an arsenal supporter, I want bayern to win 3-1 ribery getting two and robben getting one, and Drogba scoring for Chelsea."
Graeme from Glasgow writes: "I think it will be a draw over the 90 minutes and then Bayern Munich will score to win in extra time."
Dave from Isle of Wight writes: "Bayern all the way! 2-1 winners tonight, then I'm a Spurs fan so a little bit biased! Haha"
@PrinceLalo_Kay writes: "Chelsea to win the UEFA Champions League, Drogba to score. Chelsea to win 1-0.."
Our friends at Sky Bet currently price Bayern as 2/5 favourites to lift the Champions League trophy on home turf, with Chelsea at 15/8 to be victorious. In terms of the 90 minutes, Bayern are 4/6 favourites, Chelsea are 100/30 outsiders, while the draw is available at 7/2. Their priceboosts include Bayern to win 3-0 at 14/1, Chelsea to win 1-0 at 12/1 and Franck Ribery to score first at 9/1. I think this could go all the way this evening, and I think backing either team at 12/1 to win on penalties is an attractive option.
