Well, thank you for all your comments tonight and I hope you enjoyed the commentary, if not the result. Thanks for sticking with me, Rebecca Stephenson, to the bitter end.. hope I see you for another game again soon. in the meantime feel free to follow me on Twitter @1rebs.
JB - I personally hope we'll never see Kenny Miller in a Scotland shirt again. And good riddence to Levein - I think he's second rate at best. But I don't think Strachan is the answer either!
Paul Bryson - Levein has no excuse. He has a team of which most have vast euro experience, yet he uses amateur tactics. Time for Souness or Walter Smith
Scotland sit embarrassingly bottom of the group with just two points... but there's no shame in losing to belgium these days - the damage has been done before tonight
It could've been a lot lot worse for the Scots - especially in the first half where Alan McGregor saved the side from a hammering.
Neil Renton, Edinburgh....Can I start the campaign to get Ian Holloway in as Scotland manager? He loves the Scots, wouldn't take any nonsense, would work well with the media and does well with average players. Which Scotland has lots of just now!
Maloney has been the most lively Scotland player by far and even as the cause it lost, he still manages a scurry into the box, but he's crowded out
Chris - The problem doesn't lie with Levein, nor with the players, although I don't believe that Levein is the man to manage Scotland. The problem lies with the inherent inferiority complex we have concerning all things national. We're beaten before we take the field.
Stuart - Dont know if its Leveins last game in charge .It should be,also hope its the last time i see Gary Caldwell in a Scotland strip. He is useless.
Iain MacLellan...Glenrothes - Sorry to say this but I can see no way forward for Levein. The dye was cast way back when he selected that awful formation consisting of no strikers. Totally shame worthy from a Scotland Manager. I feel he is in a position that is way above his capabilities.
Eddy....Outplayed for every minute of the game. Got to 0-0 at HT and I expected some change to come from Scotland as we were simply enduring, not developing anything. After the first goal you would think we HAD to shift things about as we had nothing to lose, but Oh No! I know there wasn't much time between the goals but as soon as they scored you stop the game and make the change. Show people you were prepared at least!
Dont sit in silence - what do you think? is this Levein's last game in charge?? tweet @1rebs or email me email@example.com
Just as I was speculating what could befell Scotland now the deadlock has been broken a second goal arrives - how many could it be now? damage limitation for Craig Levein now
Vincent Kompany with the ball at his feet from a corner... he drove it home from a narrow angle - there was no stopping that one for McGregor
It was a mazy run into the box by hazard, he laid it off to De Bruyne who stood it up to the back post where Benteke was waiting with a powerful header from close range
Scotland definately having more posession and mackie almost gets on the end of a dangerous ball in there - Scotland have a corner
Sting has really gone out of this game, how much is down to Scotland and how much is the Belgians running out of ideas i'm not sure
Game seems to have slowed slightly second half - much to Scotland's delight... Everton's Kevan Mirallas comes on for Mertens
First chance of the second half for belgium goal begging as the wasteful Benteke plants a header on top of the bar
What about Commons to go one better with a free kick in the second half? You'll get 22/1 on him to score the next goal
If you fancy a bet now - here's some selected odds for you from Sky Bet... Dembele to score the winner in a 1-0 is 20/1 whilst Steven Fletcher to do the same in a 1-0 Scotland victory is 28/1
Can Scotland hang on? What have you made of the first half?? Tweet @1rebs or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Looks like Levein's men might just get to half time at 0-0.. and they do - the whistle goes and scotland get a well-earned 15 minute break
Paul - Poor finishing. Great goalkeeping. Brave defending. Fortune. At 0-0 any result is possible #believe
Another flurry of blocked shots around the edge of the Scotland box.. maybe a bit of frustration kicking in for the hosts here.. McGregor misjudges a cross but Benteke can't convert it
Commons this time tests Cortois - corner to Scotland but it comes to nothing - free kicks from outside the box look to be the best opportunity for the Scots tonight
Scotland finally get some bodies forward and maloney is stopped unfairly - another oportunity to have a go from outside the box
To be fair Scotland have done a bit better in the last 10 minutes but need to get a bit of a foothold themselves, surely Belgium will find a finish to their moves at some point
Fantastic shot across goal from Dembele - again McGregor rescues his team.. and I can't type fast enough as another effort comes in from Mertens.. luckily the belgians appear to have left their shooting boots at home at the moment
Well, scotland have survived for half an hour and SURVIVED is the operative word really.. havent seen the posession stats but I'd be guessing theyre pretty high in favour of the red shirts
Corner to Belgium - too long for everyone and the follow up ball into the box is headed out by Caldwell
Darren Fletcher gives the ball away, cross from Mertens is cleared, bu the move continues, Chadli has a shot from just outside the penalty area but it whistles just wide
Chance for the Scots - a free kick - 30 yards out... what can Maloney do??? it's a great effort - but a fantastic save from Cortois.. and he easily catches the corner
How on earth did that stay out?..A cross from the right from Alderweireld is parried by McGregor.. Benteke only needed to stick a foot out and tap it in, but was on his heels
Eddie O'Brien from Germany .......Let's have some of the spirit of 78 tonight when we had to beat Holland by 3 goals and nearly did it....Mind you we had Kenny Dalglish and co then and Craig Levein wasn't the 'Manager'!
I watched Belgium leave Wales chasing shadows last month and this has started very much the same - have to say they're a fantastic team to watch.. but Scotland have to hang in here
Strange incident as a pea-roller from Morrison almost beats the goalkeeper as he falls over - any more pace on that and it would've been an unlikely opener
Not what Scotland want to see. Steven Fletcher limping off after a blow to his left ankle.. not sure if he'll be able to continue
Eddy.....Levein needs to wake up now and realise he just doesn't have the knowhow to manage at a national level. Never been a fan of the man but gave him a chance. His managing of subs is awful, tactically blind, and he seems intent on making it a personal battle of wills regards his 4-5-1. We have a talented side right now and need someone who knows how best to utilise our strengths and strengthen our weaknesses. I think we will score tonight, but all too late.
Has to be said McGregor is the most overworked man in Brussells right now, its wave after wave of Belgian attacks
Commons crosses but its easy for the Belgian defence.. they break.. Chadli has a shot, saved by McGregor, and also saves the follow up
Scotland finally having a bit of possession at the back, they need to calm the game down.. Belgium clearly want the tempo kept up
Belgium doing all the attacking early on, Caldwell clears another cross.. its a goal kick and a bit of respite
Chris......Following Belgiums 3-0 win over Serbia on Friday and being on home ground, I would predict 2-1 to Belgium.
Scotland survive a huge goalmouth scramble.. great double save by McGregor.. they have a corner... but it comes to nothing
The line ups in full - as the anthems play......Belgium: Courtois, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Kompany,Vertonghen, De Bruyne, Witsel, Chadli, Mertens, Dembele,Benteke. Subs: Mignolet, Hazard, Ciman, M'Boyo, Van Buyten,Mirallas, Defour, Lombaerts, Vossen, Simons, Guillaume Gillet,Jean-Francois Gillet.Scotland: McGregor, Hutton, Berra, Caldwell, Fox, Maloney,Morrison, Darren Fletcher, McArthur, Commons, Steven Fletcher.Subs: Gilks, Mulgrew, Cowie, Adam, Miller, Mackie, Martin,Phillips, Webster, Marshall.Referee: Mauricio Morales (Mexico)
The Belgian fans are certainly excited... and the man at the stupid-hat-stall has obviously done a raoring trade tonight
So come on, let's have some predictions and views from you for tonight's game.. tweet @1rebs or e-mail email@example.com.. get inviolved!!
If you fancy a flutter tonight you can get 8/1 on an unlikely Scotland win from our friends at Sky Bet...
No Hazard for Belgium tonight, who apparently has fallen out with the manager.. still plenty of talent for the Scots to come to terms with - £113m of talent
Gabriel......I don't see any route to Rio for Scotland now. You've got to say if they can't beat teams like Macedonia and Wales, how can they expect to beat Belgium? Craig Levein's loyalty to 4-5-1 hasn't paid off, tonight they've got nothing to lose so I hope he changes it but I think it's too late anyway. 3-0 Belgium.
Here's the line up in full.. McGregor, Hutton, Caldwell, Berra, Fox, D Fletcher (c), McArthur, Morrison, Commons, Maloney, S Fletcher
So Levein has made one change from the side that lost to Wales on Friday... James McArthur comes in for Scott Andrew
I'm Rebecca Stephenson... I'll be guiding you through the game from 7.45 tonight, but I want your views too.. you can tweet me @1rebs or you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.. I'll be putting them up on the site as we go through the night
Hello and welcome to our coverage of Belgium v Scotland tonight.. A huge game for Craig Levein's men as they look to keep their hopes of qualification for World Cup 2014 alive
