The second half didn't quite match the first in terms of quality and tempo but Blackpool will still feel they should have won the game. Preston were much better in the second 45 but must be happy with a draw after being battered for much of this contest.
Glorious chance for Evatt to win the game for Blackpool as he gets on the end of Bannan's corner but heads straight at Lonergan.
Bouazza takes advantage of hesitant defending by Nolan but he sends his effort high over the bar from a tight angle.
Seip comes up from the back only to send a 30-yard effort high over the bar. It looks like this derby will end all-square.
Adam was a fitness doubt before the game ahd he is unable to complete the match - Barry Bannan takes his place.
Vaughan latches onto a loose ball 25 yards out but gets under the ball too much and sends his effort well over.
They very nearly do as Sedgewick rises highest at the back post but directs his header wide of the target.
Preston are looking the more dangerous side here - can they make Blackpool pay big time for their first-half misses?
Mellor misses Preston's best chance of the night. Parry does really well on the right to get away from his man and cut the ball back for Mellor, but he sends his effort well wide. Really poor effort.
Just seconds later, Burgess has an even better chance to score for Blackpool but somehow strikes past the post from just eight yards out. Terrible miss.
Glorious chance for Chaplow to give Preston the lead. He is sent clean through on goal but Gilks is quickly out of his goal to make a good save.
Bouazza battles really well on the edge of the box before blasting the ball just wide of the target. His effort came off the stanchion behind the goal - half the stadium thought that was a goal.
Wallace flicks the ball past Crainey and takes a dive looking for a free-kick. Play is waved on though but no yellow card is shown to Wallace. Had it been, the goalscorer would have been sent off.
Another chance for captain Adam, this time it's a header he directs over the bar. He should have done better there.
Lonergan's clearance is a poor one but Burgess fails to take advantage by sending his weak shot straight at the keeper.
Good chance for Adam from 16 yards out but he is stretching and with his weaker left foot, sends his shot over the bar.
Cracking first half at Bloomfield Road but Blackpool will feel they should be two or three ahead of their bitter rivals. They created so many chances but were made to pay for missing them by Wallace's excellent effort. Can't wait for the second half!
Ian Evatt then has a chance at the back post but he snatches at the ball and blasts it over the bar.
What a magnificent effort by Clarke as he strikes the woodwork again. On the turn 20 yards out, he volleys the ball off the underside of the crossbar with Lonergan helpless.
GOAL - WALLACE.. Brilliant equaliser for Preston. A trademark free-kick from the Scot as he curls the ball over the Blackpool wall and into the top corner of the net.
Clarke almost bags a second. Adam's free-kick into the box causes more problems for the Preston defence and Clarke stabs the ball off the outside of the post.
Tonge tries a curling effort from the edge of the box but fails to replicate Clarke's effort in the opening minute and Gilks makes an easy save.
Burgess tries to curl the ball into the net from 20 yards out but the ball ends up in Lonergan's grateful arms. He should have opted for power there.
Blackpool are not just outpassing their opponents, they are outfighting them too. They have won all the 50-50's so far.
Excellent play again by Blackpool but this time Alex Baptiste misplaces a pass inside the box. The home side are flying.
Burgess rises highest in the Preston box but his header is gathered by Lonergan. Preston can't deal with balls into the box.
Excellent chipped ball into the box by Adam is just missed by Bouazza. More inventive play by the home side.
Ben Burgess blasts over the bar from 10 yards out. Good chance although he was put under pressure by two Preston defenders.
Chaplow looks for a bit of revenge as he rakes his foot down Adam's achilles. Poor challenge but ref Kevin Friend missed it.
Good pressure again by Preston but Blackpool defend doggedly to block shots from Michael Tonge and Chris Sedgewick.
Another chance for Preston. Richard Chaplow is sent through on goal by Mellor but Marcel Siep makes an impressive last-ditch challenge. Great entertainment so far.
First real attack for Preston leads to a chance for Ross Wallace. He cuts inside his man and goes for goal from 12 yards out but Matthew Gilks is equal to it and Neil Mellor skies the rebound over the bar.
How do Preston react to this? They've hardly had a kick so far and the Blackpool fans are making some noise.
GOAL - BILLY CLARKE. Unbelievable start to the game! Clarke picks the ball up on the edge of the box and curls the ball into the corner of the net after just 22 seconds. Wow!
